Beauty9Blackhead Removal

To effectively remove blackheads from your skin, mix 1 tablespoon gelatine powder (flavour free) with 1 ½ tablespoon of milk and create a paste. Microwave for 15 seconds and apply immediately (check temperature with finger first). Wait 30 minutes or until completely dry, and remove. This method not only helps get rid of blackheads, but also clears up clogged pores and removes unwanted facial hairs.

Beauty10Microdermabraison

For a smooth glowing skin, this DIY microdermabraison method is ideal. Mix 3 parts baking soda and 1 part water in a thick paste and apply on to face. Rub in circular motion and rise. Regular use of this treatment results in skin free from blemishes and fine lines whilst also lessening the appearance of scarring left from acne.

Body Scrub

To get the effect of a flawless skin, mix equal parts honey and brown sugar to create a granulated mixture. Apply to skin and rub in circular motion. The homemade body scrub will help get rid of dead skin cells, flaky skin and will exfoliate the skin leaving it looking and feeling smooth and soft.

Beauty6Facial Hair Removal

To get rid of unwanted facial hair, combine 1 tablespoon of honey, ½ tablespoon of ground oatmeal and a few drops of fresh lemon juice. Apply the paste evenly onto the face like a mask and leave for 15 minutes before rinsing. Repeating this method 2-3 times a week for 3-4 weeks eliminates facial hair.

Anti-Scars

Acne and other skin-related issues can often times leave prominent scarring, especially on the face, and requires lengthy treatment to get rid of. This natural remedy helps reduce the appearance of scars after only a short of time of use. Mix together 1 teaspoon of honey, 1 teaspoon of ground nutmeg , 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon and 1 teaspoon of lemon and create a paste. Apply the mixture to the scarred area for 15-20 minutes and then rise. Do this at least twice a week to see positive results.

Beauty3Under Eye bags

While there is an abundance of helpful eye creams that work miracles on eye bags, the use of coffee grounds is also an effective method to fix tiresome-looking eyes. Apply coffee grounds under eyes for 10-15 minutes and wash. The caffeine in the coffee grounds contains anti-inflammatory properties that reduce signs of swelling, redness and puffiness.

Beauty2Hair Care

Maintaining healthy looking hair can prove to be quite a challenge, especially since we are prone to treating our hair with heat or using harsh chemicals to style it. Damaged hair, if not treated can easily stunt hair growth and not allow for any natural oil build-up for nourishment. For effective hair repair, mix 2 tablespoons of honey, 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to create a hair mask. Apply the mask onto dry and unwashed hair, starting from the roots and comb through for an even application. Leave the hair mask on for 30 minutes and rinse out and shampoo well. Regular use of this natural hair treatment will result in shiny and healthy looking hair as it helps reduce build-up, moisturises and nourishes from the scalp all the way through the length of the hair.

Beauty1Teeth Whitening

The celebrity Doctor Oz endorsed this teeth whitening method to not only effectively remove surface stains but also do so in a minute’s span. Combine ¼ baking soda with lemon juice from half a lemon to create and apply the mixture onto teeth using a cotton ball or q-tip. Leave the paste on for no longer than one minute and then brush teeth as normal.
