Situated in the centre of Seef District and offering a unique flavour of international food with a hint of Middle Eastern cusuine, Kasbah Restaurant and Sheesha Lounge brings to Bahrain a truly welcoming and cosy dining experience, proving to be ideal for lunch and dinner, or even just a place to meet and unravel with family and friends. In an area surrounded by various restaurants and cafés, Kasbah stands out with the delicious and generous helpings of food, spacious and comfortable indoor and outdoor seating area, a well-ventilated sheesha-smoking area, and in a location that is easily accessible by all.

Located on the ground floor of Platinum Tower, the interiors of Kasbah immediately reflect the impressive mix of modernity with elements of traditional Arabic culture. The smoking area, the bigger area of the two dining areas, accommodates a large number of people as they enjoy their food with a side of Sheesha. The wooden panelled ceiling in the smoking area replicates the structural design of the old Bahraini houses, as the walls are decorated with wooden cases that hold traditional clay lamps. Arabesque dome silhouettes mounted on the walls gives the smoking area an overall ‘Arabian’ feel, without being noticeably traditional. The non-smoking area boasts a more modern interior style, with neutral-toned furniture and abstract art on the walls. Throughout the restaurant, classic multicoloured fanoos add ambient lighting and further add to the subtle Arabian accents that can be seen around the restaurant and its menu. The combination of various elements creates the unique theme of the café and caters to the multinational community of Bahrain, proving to be a comfortable setting for all nationalities.

Staying true to its theme of ‘multinational with a touch of Middle Eastern’, the food at Kasbah Café, created at the hands of talented Executive Chef Prashant Ramane, offers its customers a diverse selection of food from the Middle East and international influences. From Soups, to light bites, various types of salads, sandwiches, wraps, pastas, hot and cold Mezze, grilled entrees, and smokey grills, Kasbah offers something that would appeal to everyone’s palate.

Also providing food-delivery services, for those looking to have a quick meal, the ‘Lite Bites’ section of the menu has selection of items that are light on the stomach and quick to eat. The salad menu allows the customers to choose different types of salads that are purely vegetable based such as the Rocca Salad, with/without dairy such as the Fattoush (without dairy) or Greek Salad (with Feta cheese), with meat such as the Chicken Caesar Salad, and even a fresh fruit platter. The sandwiches at Kasbah vary from the wholesome options such as the succulent Quarter Pound Burger, to lighter options like the vegetable sandwich, and all sandwiches have the option of either white or brown sliced bread or Panini bread and served with French fries. Customers also have the choice to pick from different kinds of vegetarian and meaty wraps.

For the main course, one of the most popular dishes on the menu is the “Make It Your Way” pasta, and the customers can create a dish exactly according to their preferred taste. Diners are given options to choose from for their pastas, sauces, protein (if any), fish, and vegetables. The grilled entrees features sumptuous dishes that are filling yet not too heavy, and ideal for those looking for hearty meal for lunch or dinner.

The Middle Eastern cuisine on the menu consists of the smoky grill, which is perfect for meat lovers as it offers a variety of charcoal grilled red meat, chicken, and fish that is crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside with a delicious smoky aftertaste. The spread of hot and cold mezze also serve as light food, and bring to the menu the authentic Arabic taste with traditional dishes such as Moutabel, hummus (in different flavours), and warak enab (vine leaves). The deliciously diverse menu at Kasbah is full of global flavours that will tantalise everyone’s culinary senses, including their must-try’s, the Kasbah Mixed grilled Platter, Pom Pom Tini, Vie De Pommes and their wide selection of healthy fresh juices.

Kasbah Café’s Breakfast Special offers customers a complete Bahraini, English, and Continental breakfast experience including eggs, sausages, cereals, tea or coffee or freshly squeezed orange juice, ensuring the diners begin their day with a hearty meal.

Incorporating even more delectable dishes on the menu, Chef Ramane has further expanded the options for the guests to relish in. Inspired by his love for motorbikes, the chef created his twist of a croquette, which are bigger in size and served with an orange peel – to add zest to the dish – and is aptly named, Piston Croquettes. The delicious item can serve as a quick meal as it is bigger in size and its fresh ingredients make it extremely filling. Also adding onto the menu, the Italian favourite dish, the Risotto. A made-to-order dish, customers have the choice of adding a protein of their preference (if any). The creamy dish is the fitting for either lunch or dinner as the generous helping is sufficient for the guests to savour as a complete meal. Appealing to diners who like their food spicy, the newly added Chicken Biryani is the go-to dish. The flavours of the biryani overpower the taste buds from the very first bite and are served with a complementary traditional Asian mint and yoghurt sauce, for those who want to mellow out the spiciness. Especially keeping in mind the business men and women looking for a quick and light lunch, the menu now also boasts the Italian dish, Chicken Caponata, which is a grilled chicken breast served with vegetables and creamy mashed potatoes. Chef Ramane says he takes into consideration the cusomter preference of eating healthy and implements it into his food preparation methods. Focusing on incorporating more Arabic flavoured dishes, Kasbah has also added authentic dishes such as Mansaf, Kabsah, and Sammak Seyadeyeh for those who enjoy Arabian cuisine when dining out.

Catering to the working men and women, Kasbah also serves a “Business Lunch” at BD 4 per person serving Soup, Salad, One International or Arabic dish, Mini Fruit salad and a soft beverage.
