KENZO x H&M
BY ALI AL BANA
Their collection of women’s and men’s ready-to-wear and accessories will arrive in 250 H&M stores around the world – fingers crossed that they make it to the middle east and The Kingdom of Bahrain. I’ve never felt this enthralled about an H&M collaboration before.
Juliana Huxtable, iSamaya Ffrench, and Amy Sall star in the Kenzo x H&M campaign. It’s a clean place now, and it surely builds up a fresh hype for Kenzo’s Humberto Leon, and Carol Lim. The idea, or interpretation, of the brand’s identity that will be joined with H&M, revolves around a conversation between Carol, Humberto, and Kenzo Takada and what he began.
Kenzo’s collections always had that sense of feminity, fun, a tactile approach, blends of embroidery, to embellishments – those are the things that Takada worked hard on. Their approach doesn’t necessarily portray that some items from previous collections making a come back, however shows a subtle idea.
Developing from those ideas, the Kenzo designers are keen to value the presence of the present customer, the original Kenzo infatuated customer, and a new customer.
