Summer Style to Keep You Cool
The summer heat is set in it’s own scorching groove, with no signs of cooling down for the next couple of months.
Rising hemlines and bare arms may not be everyone’s ideal way to keep cool and certainly not the safest (think of the sun damage!).
Luckily we’ve found some clever style solutions that will keep you looking hot but feeling cool.
So whether you’re in need of some office-appropriate inspiration or are looking for holiday wear essentials or just trying to keep cool for errands, it’s all right here. Read on to make this Summer your most fashionable ever.
Jalabiya – No Middle eastern Summer is complete without the Jalabiya. This traditional fashion piece never goes out of style as designers close to home and over international waters have given this classic style their own modern twist over and over.
Culottes – An alternate to skinny jeans, bold-print culottes are ideal for the rising temperatures. Pairing a simple button-down top can help mute a bold-print pair of culottes and can create an ideal look for work or follow in the footsteps of festival-goers and pair with a loose-fitted top for a Boho Chic outfit.
Dress + Micro bag – The Jacquard-print dress paired with a chic Micro Fendi creates perfect balance between a modern look and retro fashion. Keeping in check with the 2015 Pantone colours, the bold tangerine and white knee-length dress allows it to be versatile for a casual lunch or a formal cocktail event.
Boyfriend Jeans – If you can’t bear to be apart from your denim jeans even though the temperature gauge says ‘you really shouldn’t’, then opt for a looser ‘boyfriend’ cut in light denim colours paired with a cotton statement T-shirt.
Jumpsuit – A wardrobe staple, the jumpsuit has become the go-to clothing item when going for a more relaxed look. From short rompers to full-length pieces, the jumpsuit can easily be dressed up or down by mixing up the accessories that complete a look without having to put in too much effort.
Kaftan – Hail the Kaftan, which has made its place in Western fashion staples. Traditionally long, with the shorter contemporary style, either way, you are looking royal.
White Kimono with Tribal detailing – Layering a cotton tank top with a Kimono or sheer jacket, will not only offer extra coverage but will also add glamour to an otherwise simple staple summer outfit.
