The Kingdom of Bahrain has always had a rich history of being masters in the jewellery industry. Established in 1978 by Abdulrazak Shirazi (Mohamed’s father) and his nephews, Abdulmajeed and Abulqassim Shirazi, Bahrain Jewellery Centre found its beginnings in the heart of Manama souq as a stand-alone store. At the time, BJC was able to fit into the market’s niche for luxury goods, especially watches and jewellery, and filled that void by providing its customers with the highest level of commitment in terms of jewellery selection, quality, variety, service, and most importantly customer relationship.
The Shirazi family’s commitment to their business and the need to further evolve to have the opportunity to continue serving their customers the utmost luxury as well become one of the best in the Kingdom lead to the company’s impressive and successful expansion over 38 years. Over the years BJC has witnessed their customers’ increased interest in specific brands, such as with Patek Philippe’s Nautilus watch that has a year-round waiting list, and brands with modernised signature collections such as Bvlgari’s Serpenti Collection and Chopard’s Happy Diamonds, which have become customer favourites.
Ensuring all their customers are catered to with the utmost expertise and professionalism, BJC does not shy away from offering its expansive services to the customer. This can be anything from being able to customise and alter the pieces according to their liking, a made-to-order concept, for certain brands, whereas for other brands, customers have the option to personalise items they felt a special connection with, thus adding to its sentimental value, as well as ordering certain jewellery and watches upon the customers’ requests and availability. Additionally, BJC, with skilled in-house jewellers, offers customers the opportunity to revamp their own personal jewellery pieces.

Now, BJC proudly houses over 40 prominent jewellery and watch brands and has been a participator in Jewellery Arabia since its launch in 1992, and has become one of the most prominent exhibitors at the event. Their stall covers an impressive area of over 2500 sq metres and is located distinguishably in Hall A of the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre. With a warm and inviting ambiance and plenty of goods to admire and purchase, the BJC stand is by far one of the most desirable locations to visit during the event. Always looking to offer their customers a new and exciting experience, for Jewellery Arabia 2016, BJC introduces new brands, further expanding the BJC family, in addition to their generous collection of jewellery and watches.
Working on renovations of the BJC shop-in-shop concept store in City Centre Bahrain will be ready mid-November and the Chopard Boutique at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Bahrain, has already opened, BJC is also working towards the expansion of the much sought-after Patek Philippe store, which will also take place in the upcoming months. Not forgetting their roots, the flagship store in the Manama Souq will also be undergoing renovations that will be complete in early 2017. Doors to the new Tag Heuer boutique located in City Centre have also opened up for customers to come in explore the latest collections of the luxury watch, whilst the highly anticipated renovation of the Piaget boutique in Moda Mall has been completed and is now welcoming customers as well.
