The Spring 2015 Bridal Catwalks are just wrapping up. From new necklines to gorgeous embellishments and fashionable fabrics, each season presents an array of exciting new trends. This spring was no different, with a handful of unexpected necklines, skirt options and colours at play. The most creative dresses boasted convertible skirts, particularly in tulle. Adding a playful and ethereal feel. Brides that want to ensure a dramatic walk down the aisle will love this issue’s White Wedding Smoky Look.
Ideal for brides that are looking for that dramatic effect to compliment their White Wedding Gowns. Sultry Smoky eyes are a perfect contrast to ivory and white and look especially glamorous with nude glossy lips.

Put away your full coverage foundations and replace them with sheer foundations, Sheer foundations are much lighter and less likely to clog your pores. There are plenty of amazing matte foundations that eliminate the need for powder. To achieve a luminous look, add a brightening primer or illuminating moisturiser to your skin care. Or you can add a couple of drops of a liquid shimmer product, such as MAC Lustre Drops to your foundation. Use a soft buffer brush to really work the foundation into the skin so you look radiant from within. Liquid foundations work best when you are trying to keep the base light and sheer. Try Provoke Cosmetics Studio Finish Liquid Foundation.
Defined brows with a natural athletic and masculine shape are right on trend this season. To get the look, start off by putting away the tweezers. Let your brows grow, then comb them straight and up a little. If your brows are sparse, fill in with a little brow colour using soft strokes, then brush through with a clean mascara wand that can be spritzed with hairspray so that brows stay naturally in place. Try Provoke Cosmetics Pro Brow Paint in Fudge.
Smoky Eyes – Using the colour blocking technique – Creating dramatic smoky eyes is much easier than you might think with this colour block technique. Apply a neutral flesh tone all over your eyelid. Then highlight the brow bone with a shimmering ivory or silver. Next fill the lid with a black eyeshadow you can pull out the edges as much as you desire. If you want to create the cat eye, try using a strip of tape from the corner of your eye applied in a line towards your brows. Once you have created the shape, blend a lighter charcoal over the black to create a tone on tone effect. This prevents the lid from looking one dimensional. Blend the socket line to soften the colour.
TIP: Apply a touch of glitter either dusted on the lid or as an eyeliner!
Opt for nude beige or peach on the cheeks and look to create sculpted cheekbones with a slighter darker shade and then blend the lighter blush on top.
Look for a colour that lifts your skin tone and doesn’t make your teeth look yellow. Nudes work best with smoky eyes and depending on your skin tone, choose pinky nudes or beige nudes and always finish with a high shine gloss.
