Starting out in 2009, The Overdressed has surpassed its ‘blog’ status and has become a leading brand, representing timeless elegance and quality through founder Dana Al Khalifa’s savvy fashion sense and sophisticated finds. From international designers to local brands, with over 48,000 Instagram followers and a globally popular website, The Overdress shares vintage fashion, stunning jewellery, en vogue fashion accessories, and much more.
Partaking in the 2015 Jewellery Arabia Exhibition, The Overdressed Pavilion is host to a carefully selected mix of international and local jewellers that focus on creating intricate designs using precious and semi-precious stones, catering to suit all budgets. Unlike any other pavilion, The Overdressed boasts a wall of flowers sponsored by Alia Flowers, adding a chic flair, making it a perfect pair for the exquisite jewellery collection that will be on display.
Bringing together eclectic designers,
The Overdressed pavilion will feature:
Aamaya by Priyanka: paying homage to her Indian heritage combined with her worldwide travels, Priyanka’s collections serve as an autobiography of her heritage and journey as a designer. The handpicked materials used in her creations contain healing properties and she combines the vibrant colours and patterns of the East and presents them with a Western flair.
Charmaleena: founded by sisters Leena and Hala M. El Khereiji, the Saudi brand is a mix of contemporary and wearable elements transformed into pieces of jewellery looking no less than works of art. The brand represents the Arab world within the vast world of jewellery by making a significant international presence and redefining classical chic.
Istanboulli Gioielli MILANO: set up by Italian siblings Zarmine and Vace in 2011, the brand perfectly represents Italian craftsmanship while embodying the busy, vibrant, and fashionable nature of their home-city of Milan. Using their expertise, having worked in the family owned-jewellery business, the pair creates charmingly elegant and opulent designs.
Nuun Jewels: having featured in Vogue, Elle, Style.com, Grazia among other well-known publications, the Paris-based jewellery designer creates high-end jewellery collections with rare or made-to-order pieces. Drawing inspiration from the East and the West combined with the superb craftsmanship of Place Vendôme workshops, Nuun Jewels works with centuries old traditions and advance technologies to create distinguished pieces.
Suzanne Kalan: creating timeless designs, designer Suzanne Kalan produces pieces that can be worn for years to come. After turning her dream to a reality, the designer launched her fine jewellery line in 1988 and has continued to set herself apart with her unique aesthetic ever since.
